Ride High uses horses and an associated education programme to transform the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged children in Milton Keynes.

Who am I?

I'm Herbert, a volunteer at the Ride High Equestrian Centre in Milton Keynes, helping to keep the grounds neat and tidy. I mow the grass, strim nettles, paint fence posts, that kind of thing.

Over the past couple of months, I've seen firsthand the positive impact Ride High has on youngsters. The staff here are all tireless and kind-hearted people that deserve support for their good work, so when I was asked to take part in their annual cycle challenge on Sunday 14th August, I agreed to; even though I don't cycle, I'm not terribly fit, and the only bike I have is one that I use to cycle up the road to the cafe. The chain has already come off twice so completing the route is a challenge for me and the bike. (Just kidding, it's going to be fine!)
