Shayla's School Fund

Donation protected
This fund is for my sister, Shayla Sheets. She is 19 years old and she really loves to read and write. Most people would think that writing is not a successful career, but once my sister starts creating, she just blows minds. She has had to grow up really fast since bad things started happening. She is the one keeping her Mother together in really bad times. She is wanting to go to college to be a writer with an English Major. She is an amazing writer, but does not really think so. I always read her writing and tell her that I want more because it is just to good to put down! For my school essays or any questions I have about writing or english, she always has an answer! I really would like to see her achieve her dream to write some amazing books and to be the author that she really wants to be !
For the past year, there have been a lot of struggles involving our family. It is hard when your family is going through divorce and you no longer have that other persons income to depend on. They can barely afford groceries because it is to that point that they would rather have a roof over their heads than spending on food. Her mother works at Walmart and works her butt off from week to week trying to make ends meet.  It is now just my sister and her mother (my step-mom). They have not even able to pay the rent and they could probably be kicked out sooner than later. Not being able to pay the bills with just themselves, they needed a roommate to help out. They are taking out money that they really do not even have in order to be able to pay for my sisters orientation. The money that my sister DID get from her grad party is being used for things she needs to begin college and they just really are in a state of help right now and I just want to see my sister happy for once in a long time.  She thinks that she might not even be able to stay in school because they cannot afford to pay for it. She is going to school in mid- August with Indiana State! That is about 5 hours away from where they live in Goshen, Indiana. Shayla is so stressed out about how they are going to come up with the money, it is just depressing because I really want to see her succeed and get into this career that she has been dreaming about since she started getting into the hobby of reading and creating her own stories. All the costs together are about 45,000 including her books, room and board, tuition, and attendence. She thinks that nobody will donate money to her, so I have created this fund to show her that people out there really do care and would like to see you succeed! If you donate, that would just be so amazing and kind of you! Thank you !
