This year Jess Graniglia, Director of local land marketing business Next Level Land Marketing and Ashley Rio, Director of Rio Fit NQ will courageously step into the ring on October 14th for the 2017 FIGHT FOR YOUR CAUSE Charity Boxing Fight night proudly brought to you by local gym Body Torque.
Our chosen charity Liberty Living NQ will create a new housing option available to children and young adults with physical and mental disabilities and/or complex support needs by advancing a new residental prototype that considers innovation, individuality, community integration and choice while balancing economic realities. This project has the potential to energise an era that bring public, private and non-for-profit sector interests together, with new opportunites in research, health and education to collaborate in a specialised living precinct and allows children and young adults with disabilities along with their families to choose not just their residence but a sustainable lifestyle.
A note from Ashley:
"I chose to support Liberty Living NQ as I have worked firsthand with children with disabilities and know the difficulties they face in finding suitable accommodation and the correctly trained staff to help manage their day-to-day life and develop the skills to become independent. Too many young people with disabilities reside in aged care facilities because there simply aren’t any other options. I’m incredibly proud to be a supporter of Liberty Living NQ and help give these young people the best chance at a full and rewarding life."

"It was a no brainer for me. For the past 10 months myself and five other members of my Townsville Enterprise Emerging Leaders cohort have been volunteering our time to make Liberty Living NQ a reality. I now need your help!! I have witnessed first hand the struggle children and young people with disabilities face on a day to day basis and its heartbreaking and its time to make a change in the lives of some of our most vulnerable."
FACTS WE CAN'T IGNORE:
*31.1% of young people with disabilities are at risk of entering or already reside in an aged care facility.
*58% do not get a visit from a friend. Most live in isolation living a life NOT worth living."
