HELP ISOLDA BEAT CANCER
My name is Isolda Restrepo. I am 35 years old, and I was diagnosed with cervical cancer approximately one year ago.
When several months of natural therapies proved ineffective, my medical team strongly urged me to have a hysterectomy,( before being able to have any kids of my own)...which I agreed to do 7 months ago. Unfortunately, follow up testing two months later found that the cancer was still present.
After a great deal of research and soul-searching, I began a heavy 3 month cannabis oil regimine. When the cancer contiunued to grow, I agreed to begin chemotherapy and radiation treatments, (though it would put me into menopause some 20 years early).
While I have been doing a great deal of inner work to remain positive, and to assist my body in healing, the reality of these treatments have been devastating.
I lost a lot of weight due to constant nauseousa from the weekly chemo, and have been extremely fatigued. The daily (M-F) external radiation sessions have burned my pelvic area resulting in pain and discomfort. This was followed by 5 sessions of MASSIVELY painful internal radiation.
Despite all the pain and discomfort I have endured, the financial ramifications of this disease have been just as devastating.
My savings have been totally wiped out. I have outstanding hospital bills. My family is not in a position to assist me, and though I am blessed to have dear friends who have been helping me out to the best of their ability, understandably, that financial assistance has run it’s course.
I have a BA in Behavioral Science, and before being sidelined by cancer I was working with autistic children. Unfortunately, I have been physically unable to work for over a year.
It is frankly embarrassing to be in a position where I am asking for the assistance of caring strangers. But that is my reality at this point, and I am so beyond grateful to anyone who finds it in their heart to help me survive this major journey.
Once I beat this life threatening disease I will be better equipped to help other people who have to face cancer and other scary life circumstances, as well as potentially continuing my practice with children who are faced with physical, mental and emotional challenges. I know that I am here on this planet to serve. This journey has been instrumental in showing me just how I can do that. So be it!
