The majority of jobs in Bend Oregon are entry level service jobs, yet retirees are driving up the cost of housing, and "twenty somethings" are leaving town.
Our company is Comm Nova.
We are on a mission to create great jobs for young people and their families in Central Oregon.
The purpose of our GoFundMe campaign is to pay for our current trip to New York City, so we can create good paying quality jobs in Bend Oregon.
We were invited to the join the 2020Startups.NYC accelerator program in May 2017, and it has cost us a pretty penny, as we prepare to expand the scope of our operation in Bend.
We accepted the invitation and jumped on a plane and headed East in faith, because livable wage jobs cannot wait. The 2020 program is helping us get the investment and partnerships we need to grow.
Our ultimate goal is to create great jobs for college age job seekers, through a new production and distribution facility, and that is why we are in New York.
Comm Nova was founded by a Chef from Portland and a Coffee Shop owner from Bend. The two Restaurateur's love for hospitality and technology has created the perfect recipe for gathering the internet into a single room.
Imagine your television as a giant computer monitor; That is what we do. We are your one stop shop online for everything related to connecting a computer to a television monitor. #techmeetslifestyle
The Founders have been supplying full-time year-round high-wage jobs for college age workers in Bend since 1997. It is their passion.
We will begin with light manufacturing entry level jobs.
The jobs will start at $15/hr and include paid benefits.
Your donation will be multiplied times a thousand, as young people get a job that starts strong, and moves them toward a more stable future.

Working as a Recruiter for a large Bend employer, one of our Co-Founders was only able to provide jobs at $12/hr, with no paid benefits, and his heart was broken by the great financial need in the people he hired.
"We took a big risk, and decided to grow our own business sooner rather than later, because homelessness sucks." he says.
We need your help to return from New York City with opportunities for great young jobs. (instead of debt)
