Mickey's Horrific Story
5 Days - Trapped w/o Food and Water

Mickey Weatherly, a 74 year old woman who lives alone had a chronic bowel infection and was rushing to the bathroom in her home when she tripped on the bathroom rug and fell, hitting the bathtub on her left side and wedging herself between the commode and the tub. She was wedged in so tightly that she was unable to free herself or even move at all. She was cut and bruised badly and was bleeding from the fall. She had also voided and soiled herself and continued to do so while lying on the floor. She lay in this horrid mess without food or water (she was unable to reach the toilet or tub) for six days! She cried for help over and over and over again, but no one could hear her.

Mickey's son lives out of town and tried to reach his mother for 5 days. He became very concerned and called her brother to check on her. Her brother came out on the 6th day and found her. The stench was so unbearable from the blood and feces that he actually had to run outside and vomit before calling 911. The paramedics were unable to free her without removing the toilet. She was in a hallucinative state of mind and unresponsive. The doctors in the emergency room agreed that in another couple of hours she would have died.

Mickey was severely dehydrated, her body swollen, cut and bruised and unable to move by herself. After three days, she finally became aware she was in a hospital but still could not move on her own. She also had a highly contagious, chronic bowel infection. Once the infection is finally clear, she will have to go to a rehab facility for further treatment. Her recovery will be difficult and lengthy.

The fees for emergency services, the hospital, doctors, nurses, therapists, consultants, continuing care and medications are enormous and rising daily.

Mickey lives on a small social security check and has no way to cover even a fraction of the charges.

Hopefully from funding, she will have some relief from her financial obligations. We are so blessed that Mickey survived this tragedy, but she needs funds as soon as possible. If you cannot give monetarily, please pray for her or send a note of encouragement. Thank you so much for your support, it is greatly appreciated.
