My Nintendo Switch Was Stolen!

Donation protected
Let me preface this by saying that I am absolutely 100% aware that there are causes out there that are far more deserving of support than mine. In no way do I wish to interfere with those causes and I sincerely hope that those in need of help during a time of crisis is able to get the help they need and deserve!I was lucky enough to get a Nintendo Switch and a few games the night it launched. I stood in line at midnight for it with a bad fever and the flu, but I did eventually go home with the console that I saved money for and drooled over for months. I loved it! 10 minutes into Breath of the Wild and I was infatuated with that incredibly piece of hardware! Unfortunately I only had it for a couple of weeks before getting a text from my girlfriend that it was gone - along with my Wii U, PS4, 3DS and every game that I owned for each system. We frantically searched for the missing stuff but it was clear that it was gone for good; the only things left behind were a few empty cases and an HDMI cable. We did alert the authorities, but nothing was ever found and it never turned up in the local pawn shops or GameStop. I really do consider myself lucky that no one was hurt during the home invasion and it is pretty cool to say that I was among the first group of people to play Zelda Breath of the Wild, but it is still heartbreaking to lose so many of my beloved things in one fell swoop. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am an avid gamer; it's all I talk about and I somehow manage to work something gaming related into every conversation. As childish as it may sound - gaming is more than just a silly hobby to me, it's a passion! One that I have obsessed over since I was a small child with a Sega Genesis playing Sonic The Hedgehog. I suffer from Crohn's Disease and gaming helps me take my mind off the pain I experience on a regular basis but hey! It keeps me out of trouble too! A few friends and I operate a small humble gaming blog together where we all write about video games, movies etc. but I have not written a single word on it since my belongings were taken because frankly I don't have much to write about anymore. The blog serves as an outlet for me to express my opinions, talk about video games to people who want to hear about them without annoying those around me who don't care, and write in-depth reviews about games that friends and others may be on the fence about buying. Again, I realize this isn't an urgent matter compared to what's going on in the world right now, but I could barely afford the Switch in the first place and it will take close to a year (if not much longer) to replace the one that was stolen - not to mention the other consoles that disappeared. To anyone thinking about making a donation to my cause: I thank you in advance from the very bottom of heart and I will be forever in your debt - you can absolutely hold me to that. I understand as well as anyone that times are tough, so I understand if you can't right now. I really hope I don't come across as some sort of a panhandler or something...I just really want to be able to experience the games that I have missed out on and get back to maintaining my blog. Until I reach my goal I'll mow lawns, wash cars, walk dogs, pull weeds, hang drywall, shampoo carpets, do your laundry - whatever it takes to replace the thing. Anyone who donates will certainly receive a handwritten thank you letter and a bear hug from a grown man crying tears is joy. Thanks again for reading this!
