Those who know us know some of the challenges we face with our beautful daughter Grace. She's a gentle, kind little girl with chronic epilepsy and the rare disease Rett Syndome.

Rett syndrome has taken her ability to walk, talk, sit up, use her hands or eat food.

Grace is fully wheelchair bound and can no longer be lifted from her chair without the use of a hoist due to osteoporosis, which caused her to break both her femurs during a particularly bad seizure last Christmas.

We moved from the UK to Florida in June. We knew that, of all the challenges we had to face, (getting health insurance, jobs, housing, etc) getting grace's transportation would be the most difficult. And we were right! We're pretty stuck for options.

These vehicles are provided to disabled people in the UK, however now we need to find a way to afford one here in Florida.


Currently, Grace is house-bound because of lack of transportation. Even starting school is out of the question as we just found out there isn't currently a bus available for her.

We've been rebuilding our credit here in the USA and waiting for our home in the UK to sell and resisted raising funds because we don't believe Grace's care is anyone else's responsibility. And also it's a little embarrassing to be honest. However watching her sit month after month is just heartbreaking and so we're reaching out to see if we can make this happen faster for her.

That time last week when the medical transportation people just...like...decided not to pick us up...



And then that one time a man fell out of his wheelchair on the highway and we had to pull over in 100* weather for 2 hours....


Grace's first day of school, the bus went to the wrong town...
