Expanding Your Horizons

We encourage girls to think about the wide range of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers in the world today - and see themselves in those jobs in the future. Each year we bring 350 middle school girls to the University of Wisconsin - Madison campus to give them a taste of STEM careers and to get to talk and ask questions of the women who hold those professions.

Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) is a one-day conference where participants attend hands on STEM workshops. During their day girls get to try their hand at various careers - from and building a bridge mock-up to designing a computer game - some of which they will have heard of and others will 'expand their horizons' of what a STEM career is.

This is our 59th year of inspiring young women to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math. Join us to keep the momentum strong!

Student participants have a chance to interact with professional women who work in a variety of fields. And they have a chance to meet other girls who share their interests.

"It was fun to meet new people and explore different career fields." - EYH alumna

Go Fund Me donations will go towards scholarships and transportation costs- conference registration fees only cover half of our annual expenses.  $35 is enough to sponsor one girl for this conference!

Thank you for your support!
