We are the Burlington High School Robotics Club, and we are part of a worldwide association known as FIRST Robotics Competition(FRC).
FRC presents us with an annual challenge where we are tasked with designing and constructing a robot that can compete on an international level during a six week build period from January to mid February. In that six week period we focus on designing, building, wiring, programming, and strategizing to prepare for our competitions.
Our total expense costs are typically $25,000. Competitions cost $14,650, travel and student expenses are $6,500, equipment and supplies are $3,200, and community outreach costs $1,000.
Due to the immense cost of running a robotics team we require upwards of $25,000. To even out our annual expenditure, it is essential to have sponsors and receive donations.
