K'elawachi Scholarship Foundation

Tax deductible
There are roughly 11 million undocumented people living in the United States who don’t receive government benefits. Although many have immigrated as adults, a significant chunk of these undocumented were brought to the United States as children, and thus know no other home than the United States. Like their fellow Americans, they strive to achieve their American Dream. Many of these are high school students in search of a higher education. In Oregon alone, 7,900 students cannot afford to pay for their college education because they don’t qualify for financial aid due to their undocumented status. Many qualify for DACA. DACA, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, is a legislation first passed in 2012 that allowed certain undocumented immigrants who entered the country as minors to stay, contingent on demonstrated good behavior. The K’elawachi Scholarship Foundation is a resource that intends to empower DACAmented youth to pursue higher education by providing information on scholarships that they qualify for. In addition, the Foundation intends to provide a scholarship as well. Please help us create more scholarship money to help students under DACA afford college by donating to the Foundation.
Our short-term goal is to raise $10,000 by the end of the year to award 5 deserving students. Thank you and please share!
