Octavio Munguia Fund

On Tuesday, November 7th Octavio Munguia left his home for a regular cycling ride to the countryside. While on Balch Park road he became a fatal victim of a suspected DUI Hit and Run accident. Octavio is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Elena, his daughter Jessica Munguia, his son Alexander Munguia, his brother Juan Pablo Munguia and 3 grandchildren.

Octavio was an avid cyclist; a recent sport he quickly came to love and share with his wife
His wife, children, family and his cycling friends are still in shock about this tragic event. His death has caused tremendous emotional and physical distress. Octavio’s family is forever changed and all of them are victims of someone who chose to drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In Octavio’s memory we will try our best to put the pieces back together, pieces of a puzzle that will no longer ever be complete. At this time of grief and sadness we are asking for your help. This catastrophic event has a deep financial impact on the lives of Octavio’s loved ones. Any help you may be able to contribute is and will be forever appreciated. We are truly grateful for the support from family, friends, and the local cycling community. Our sincere thanks from the Munguia, Segura, and Cuadros families.

The funds collected by this GoFundMe fundraiser will go directly to Octavio’s wife and children to help them transition to life without him. Please help them make every effort to not lose the home they shared with their beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Thank you!
