My children's "abuser" (of incest and rape) has been released from prison after serving 15 years. Now we have all been court ordered to vacate our home and turn it over to the Megans Law Offender himself! His release from prison and now the courts, well everything just seems imposible to deal with.
I raised my children in this home whom still live here along with my grandkids. We are all being thrown in the street like dirty laundry because the home is in his name and he wants us all out. I'm finally divorced, however.
My daughter became a widow when she was 26. What else can happen to her?
We all have had many, many "on again off again low paying jobs". It's very hard to hold a job when you suffer from Severe PTSD.
I have not only my children but also grandchildren now to look after. We suffer with severe ptsd flashbacks, as well as depression and anxiety.
We have always been a proud family and somehow we were always able to pick ourselves up when we were down. This time it is so much more difficut and I feel so sorry to have to reach out, but really don't know what else to do.
We have reached out to Social Services and so many other local organizations and charities, including getting food from the local food pantrys. It's so very scary to think that we all will be in the street. If you have ever been a victim you already know that the laws are for the abusers NOT the victims!
