Stephanie and DJ have been selected to represent the United States as members of the team that will be traveling to Athlone Ireland to the IWAS Youth World Games this summer. Their skills and athletic performance have earned them a spot on the team. Such an honor to be able to represent your country. As Stephanie and DJ have started to physically and emotionally prepare for this journey they are counting with your support to help their dream come through . Your support will allow them to cover their travel, lodging and sport related expenses.
Stephanie Marie Marquez is an 18 year old freshman at Southern Connecticut State University and resident of East Hartford. She is currently studying Exercise Science.
Stephanie was born with Spina Bífida. Stephanie is a hard working, goal oriented young lady. She sets a goal and don’t stop until she reaches it. She is a team player and a role model to her fellow teammates . This opportunity will bring her a step closer to achieving her goal of becoming a Paralympian.
DeBrandson ( DJ ) Davidson Jr. is a 21 year old East Hartford resident
About 3 years ago , DJ was at football practice taking seniors picture as he was running back to his locker his legs gave out and he fell down. He was taken to the hospital to find out he had Transverse Myelitis. When some doors close some other ones open. In the year of 2015, DJ started competing in adaptive sports. His determination and outstanding performance earned him medals and recognition. Since then Dj has participated in Regional and National competitions.

At their short age , Stephanie and DJ have a lot of potential and their athletic career is just starting .
