Beating Cancer with a Hammer

If you've had work done by me or Red Truck Renovations/ Homes over the last 10 years Darrell Tomlinson likely had a hand in completing your project. He has been a trustworthy , reliable, and dedicated friend and employee from day one.
A little over a year and a half ago Darrell was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. Surgery held the cancer at bay for a period but it has returned and in a brutal way.
Darrell is a carpenter who until very recently has never taken a day off for personal reasons. He has been the model of strength and stability. His wife Paula has a serious disability and is unable to work. Until a week or two ago you would have never sensed that all of this was brewing beneath the surface.
The pain has become very evident now. The doctors appoinments are much more frequent. And yet, Darrell chugs along working as much as he can. He works because thats who he is. He is reliable and has an incredible work ethic. He also works because living with cancer is terribly expensive. Between doctor's appointments, treatments, and medicines the bills are overwhelming. As an hourly contractor, anytime away (because of pain or appoinment) means less income.
At Red Truck Homes we feel compelled to do what we can to step in and show grace and mercy. As I've asked for prayer for Darrell and Paula from close friends many of you have asked how else you could be of service.
We are establising this "go fund me" account to help defray the costs of healthcare expenses and provide some assistance with living expenses because time away from work will likely be increasing over the forseeable future.
Any amount will help. Every dollar will be greatly appreciated and go directly to the Tomlinson's. No matter your financial contribution I invite you to pray for my friend and his family. Thanks in advance for your generosity.
With great hope,
Jonathan Grant
