please give me back my old dad

Hi my names Liam, I’m 13 years old and I miss my dad. When I was young my dad had a horrible accident at work that changed his life for ever, for about 12 years now he’s been struggling on a day to day bases but sadly its just getting worse and he is ashamed of who he has become. He lives with chronic pain and takes a lot of medication and because of this, he has become very depressed and has to sleep a lot.

He also struggles with everyday tasks that would be easy for an average person like going to the toilet, having a bath, getting dressed, making a simple meal and moving around freely. On top of this he has a severe stammer which he has had all his life this means asking for help can be very difficult. However he still believes he can help people and give me and my brother the best childhood while doing things every other dad does. He tries so hard but in reality he can’t.

In 2004 when his accident happened he was told heart shattering news that he had to give up wood work Which was the job he loved or he would be paralysed, since then every year that has passed more health issues have risen, this is why we’re reaching out for help because if we have a special adapted house it could slow down his deterioration while giving back his dignity and freedom which may hopefully lower his depression and making life abit more comfortable for him.

The reason why we’re asking for help is to build an extension which will mostly be on one level having all the special equipment helping him now and for the future as his doctors have stated his illness is only going to get worse and worse.
