MEMORIAL FUND FOR MICHAEL T HODGE SR

CANCER.....................................................................   That is not a word anyone wants to hear for a diagnosis, for themselves or a loved one. On March 6th my father, Michael T. Hodge Sr was diagnosed with esophageal cancer.  These past few weeks have been super busy for our family.  We have been on a rollercoaster of information that no one truly understands.  We've been to appointment after appointment.  Somethings we're looking positive to start.  Dad had his PET scan as soon as we could schedule it.   They also discovered a spot on his right lung.  This past Tuesday they did a biopsy of his lung.   We unfortunately found out his cancer has now spread to his lung.  We have been hoping that wasn't the outcome.   So hearing all of this really has my family  shook up at the moment.  Dad has been diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer, metastasized to his right lung.   Dad is willing to fight this battle the best we can.  However, with this kind of diagnosis.   We can not fight this battle alone.   Our dad has always found a way to support his family.  He has always given a helping hand to anyone in need.   Now dad needs our help.  He is still working at the moment.  He plans to continue working while receiving chemo,  if his body allows him to fiction normally.   He is exhausting his PTO pretty quick with all these appointments.   He will have a port placed sometime next week.  Then we will go from there and start some form of chemotherapy.   We have got a long road ahead of us.  We are very appreciative of the support we've been given.  Now, past or future.   Thanks to everyone helping in all areas of my families situation right now.  Included in the one picture is the date,time and place of his benefit.   If you want to donate in other ways contact mevChristina or my mother Mabel.
