James Zyla help him off the streets

Donation protected
Here I am writing again, we had some trouble setting our goal too low. The keyboard James wanted was not out on the market yet and the price I saw was someone guessing and in was from Europe, so the number was in pounds not dollars. So I am totally stoked because we achieved the goal we set amazing! Well except the part where it was the wrong goal. So let me tell the story again, James is homeless and he lives in Kingman AZ, we have lots of travelers and people who are homeless, but they generally just pass through Kingman on their way to somewhere else. James is the only semi permanent resident of Kingman who is homeless. (that I know of) So I wanted to find a way to help James get off the streets. Turns out that James is for all practical purposes blind,  he is also a musician.  He used to be an extra in many Hollywood movies when he was younger and has played piano / keyboard professionally. So if we can get him a really great keyboard and a sound system and a ride and a place to play and a generous audience. Then he might have a little bit of hope to pull himself up and off the streets. I know it sounds like a lot of maybes and that we might be stretching hope a little thin. But all we can do is try. So many of you have donated to help James, thank you so much! We have raised close to $3000! The keyboard and accessories needed to make it work are around $3500 maybe $4000. It needs things like a case to protect it, cables to hook it up, foot pedals, headphones, and other stuff as well. Then we have to figure out a way to get rides for James to and from places he is able to play. We also have a possible job / gig / venue lined up already. It is in downtown Kingman 3 nights a week but depends on some items the establishment is applying for. If they get their new items they have applied for and we can wrangle a keyboard for James, he will be going to work 3 nights a week. It is a start, it is giving me a lot of hope. We are hot asking for you to take care of James, we are asking you to help us, help him back to his feet. The goal is for Jame to take care of James, but he needs our help to equip him for the challenge, his skill, good attitude, and cheerful spirit will have to take him the rest of the way.
James travels each day from the new Safeway, to the Starbucks on the west side of Stockton hill road, and back to the new Safeway later in the day, each day. I know most of you have seen him walking his cart down Stockton hill road many times. Pull over and spend a little time talking to James, he is quite amazing and cheerful to talk to. Remember he can't see you, so you have to address him and say hello James, he also answers to Santa, but he does not see you waving to him because he is blind. Come into the Starbucks and spend some time with James, he needs help with his old dilapidated I pad and I am little help with that stuff. He needs support from people who can arrange rides for him when we get places for him to play. He will need help moving his heavy equipment from place to place. Right now, today James needs people to talk to, to visit with. James could use a bunch of friends, that is way better than money, money helps with the bills but friends make the day so much nicer. Say hello to him, sit down and get to know him for a little while, see if you can help him get in touch with his friends from his past. See if you can help with the I pad, see if you enjoy chatting with him, I know he will enjoy chatting with you. Sometimes a hello how are you doing today is better than money.  Thanks for all the support we have gotten from this community and from all you that have helped out there in face book land.
I have no idea if the new goal will be enough to accomplish everything we need to help James get back on his own, but it should be enough to get started. I thank God for all of you who are helping and doing whatever you can.
