Kevdale Injured Feral Cats

Three male cats were seen limping badly in the Hermosa neighborhood. My friends and I were asked to check it out. We trapped the three and discovered they all had wounded paws and/or legs, possibly from fighting. Their wounds were infected and the vet thought at least one might need to have his leg amputated.

After many weeks of treatments, two of the cats (Keaton & Jolson) recovered and were returned to their neighborhood. The other cat (Ridgeback) is still not using one of his back legs so he will receive further care. He also turned out to be very friendly so, when he recovers, he will be taken to an adoption shelter where he can find a great, indoor home.

We've paid for vet appointments, x-rays, pain medicines, and antibiotics. We've also paid for neuter surgeries, which will hopefully prevent this kind of aggressive fighting in the future.
