I'm Bahaa el ANSARY, an Egyptian composer. Titled: L'Avantgardist!

I have been selected for MA program in Opera Making at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. This one year master in collaboration with the Royal Opera House.

One obstacle to pursue my studies is funding the program. And that's why we're here.

I could successfully receive a full tuition scholarship of £21.75K, but I still need to manage covering living expenses in London.

Does anyone know a generous rich individual who supports talents, and might cover this? I'm looking for (£13K-£15K)!

Bahaa El-Ansary is a young composer from Egypt, born in Cairo, 1991. He studied composition at The Academy of Arts in Cairo under Ezz El-Din Slim, and he also studied Theory of Music with Trinity College London. He has participated in many masterclasses and workshops with both Egyptian and European composers, with a special thanks to the Cairo Contemporary Music Days, which began his involvement with the contemporary music scene.

As a grantee of "The British Council' Grants to Artists" Bahaa had the chance to travel to Germany for one month to participate in lessons as well as working with many musicians. He also participated at The 46th International Summer Course for New Music in Darmstadt.

As a scholar from Institut Français d’Egypte he studied at Conservatoire de Bordeaux under Jean-Louis Agobet, and Conservatoire de Boulogne-Billancourt under Jean-Luc Hervé.

At some prestigious festivals and venues, Bahaa's music has been performed throughout Europe and in the UK, Singapore, Lebanon, Egypt and the US.

Bahaa had been a Composer in Residence of The Royal Opera House & Shubbak Festival, ROH-Shubbak composers’ residency in London, Summer 2017.

Bahaa’s music -a composer who is rooted with Arabic music- is influenced by a list of master composers’ technique i.e. György Ligeti, Iannis Xenakis and John Cage, as well as many of Spectral Music and Avant-Garde music techniques, However, All materials in his music are related to Arabic music. Bahaa is composing what he calls “Energetic Music”.
