Back to Ghana

I recently graduated from Drexel University with my Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology, and have been granted an opportunity to enhance my professional resume. Last summer, 2017, I was afforded a scholarship which allowed me to journey to Ghana for 3 months and conduct a water quality project. During this time I surveyed households and tested water from them for E. coli, to assess the impact of a water treatment initiative implemented by World Vision and Procter & Gamble. This experience molded my career aspirations and gave me valuable tools to use, and memories that I will forever cherish. I recently submitted a scientific abstract that I have developed from my work and it was accepted by the African Interdisciplinary Health Conference. This August I have been invited back to Ghana to present this work at the conference, and continue advancing in my public health career. As a recent graduate that is currently extremely active on the job hunt, I haven't been able to secure the funding needed to attend the conference and present my research. I am asking for your help in assisting me in funding my journey back to Ghana to attend the African Interdisciplinary Health Conference and present my research.
