The Rodriguez Family

Donation protected
On June 5 2018, My father Eliseo Rodriguez de la Cruz was taken away by ICE during the raid at Corso's in Castalia, Ohio. Eliseo Rodriguez de la Cruz left 3 sons behind Jimmy a 17 year old, Jason 10 a year old, and Jared Rodriguez a 7 year old behind as well as his wife Beatriz Rodriguez.

Eliseo Rodriguez arrived to the United States 18 years ago to give his family a better life than what they had in Mexico. Eliseo and his wife Beatriz walked 3 days and 4 nights to cross the U.S. border. Eliseo Rodriguez had to leave behind his father, mother and siblings in Mexico in order to give his new family a better life. Eliseo Rodriguez had one main goal in mind and that was to give his son Jimmy Rodriguez and the rest of his son's a better education.

My father is the most hard working man that I know. He works over 190 hours every 2 weeks in the summer at Corso's in order to provide for his family. My father sleeps only 3-4 hours a day and had to return later after only having those few hours of sleep. My father is hurt from both hands but still went to work even though he was hurt. My mother would tell me that my father would cry because of the pain he had and would fall asleep crying because of the pain.

Even with all the work he had he still managed to take my brothers, mom and I to little vacations. My dad will leave work early just to come watch me play soccer even if he had to travel 40 miles to an away game. My dad was always responsible and took take care my family very well. There was never a time that he didn't give us what we wanted.

As of right now I am head of the family and have to work 15-18 hours shifts, 6-7 days a week to provide for my mother and little brothers. I had dreams of going to collage and had big plans in the summer with my friends but now I have to set that aside and  work to provide for my family. I was a 17 year old boy who had zero responsibilities when I graduated on Sunday June 3, but on Tuesday June 5 everything changed for the worse. All my dreams and goal were crushed. I am doing everything possibel to make sure my family is well even if it means I have to wear down my body. I am now a 17 year old with the responsibilities of a father.

As of right now we are in need of money to pay our attorney to help my father get out and to be reunited with us. Not having my father with us breaks my heart. I miss him and I want him to be with my little brothers and see them grow up. Please donate any amount you can so we can bring my dad back to us.
