Suicide is an issue that has affected me personally.
The Townsville Suicide Prevention Network works alongside other organisations across all sectors to help build a strong community and reduce the incidence of suicide. The TSPN works towards educating the whole community on how they can help within their own workplace, family, friendship or community group.
Boxing has been one of the most helpful anchors in my life while dealing with depression, helping to give me a goal when I couldn’t see past a rough day. Learning to fight has helped me more than anything outside of the ring; finding my confidence and learning to push through adversity. Supporting such a great charity, and doing what I love, means a lot to me and I am very excited to be able to support the Townsville Suicide Prevention Network and step into the ring October 20th.
