I am raising funds to go towards my campaign for Arcata City Council 2018. The money raised will go towards campaign materials.
In 2016, I campaigned out of pocket and got the voting support of about 1000 people! I spent my campaign time meeting and listening to people in Arcata as I passed out tampons and diapers on the plaza and around town. I am interested in reaching more supporters by providing campaign materials that are still relevant to basic human needs. This campaign I want to pass out vegetable seeds to any registered voter, or future registered voter I meet. Your donations will primarily fund this effort. Your support will give me an opportunity to reach more citizens of Arcata and share a message of community resilience and family wellness.
I believe we need to come together as a community with it’s leadership by showing up to discuss the hard issues; by standing up for what matters most to our community environmentally and socially; by acknowledging that there are young people looking up to us watching what we will do next. All of us together can “Grow Arcata Up”
Instead of numerous campaign signs, supporters will be provided with sunflowers for display. Pots have already been generously donated and seeds are waiting for soil to grow up in! Additional donations of soil, time, space, seed, etc are also greatly appreciated!
