AnnMarie's Life Journey

Donation protected
On October 15th, 2018 AnnMarie received her double-lung transplant. She was released from the hospital in ten days and spent the next four months in the Charleston, SC area. During this time she participated in pulmonary rehabilitation and had frequent doctors appointments and minor procedures. AnnMarie and her husband James returned home to Williamston, SC exactly four months from the day of the transplant and are settling in to a new home and a new routine. Right now AnnMarie is still faced with the possibility of infection and rejection so it is important that they continue to maintain her health and return to Charleston each month.

The funds raised have been a major blessing helping with costs for lodging, travel, food, co-pays and other necessities surrounding transplant.  However there will continue to be needs and financial burdens in the future and we ask that you partner with us and continue to support this couple.

Bio:
AnnMarie Robertson is a beautiful young lady with the spirit and voice of an Angel. Twenty-five years ago, she was born with Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a life threatening hereditary disease that effects the lungs, digestive system and other organs. During the Fall of 2018 her health had declined to the point of frequent hospitalizations and infections, leading the transplant team at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) to consider her for a double lung transplant.

AnnMarie and her loving husband James live in the Upstate of South Carolina. They have been married for over three years. During this time, they have traveled the three and a half hour trip from Upstate SC to MUSC in Charleston numerous times so that AnnMarie could receive treatment. In November of 2017 James quit his full time job to support his wife as her health declined. But God saw fit to give them a part time job as Minister of Music at their home church, which allowed them the flexibility to travel back and forth from pulmonary rehabilitation and the frequent trips to Charleston. Through their faith and trust in God, they were able to make it through the transplant process and four months of living in a hotel away from home.

It has been AnnMarie's ultimate prayer to receive healing from this procedure and to use her testimony and your donations to start The Choosing Faith Foundation, allowing her to help others in their fight against Cystic Fibrosis.

Thank you for being an integral part of AnnMarie's journey and for helping give her and others hope for the future!
