Fight for Your Cause Townsville.... A fun Corporate Charity Boxing Event to raise funds for local Charities.
Leasing Executive Mitchell Barnes has put his hand up to volunteer for this worthy cause, representing Colliers International - Townsville. Mitch's chosen charity for the event is the Golden Octopus Foundation. Mitch is a family man and is passionate about helping children with cancer, Mitchell had the opportunity to meet Keely Johnson and her story resonated with him. Keely is a local girl who is the founder of the Golden Octopus Foundation, Keely suffered from childhood cancer herself and saw a need to create a charity to support all types of childhood cancers. The foundation provides financial & emotional support to families with children suffering from cancer. The foundation is now aiming to place Childhood Nurses in all Communities across Australia to support families, starting with Townsville & North QLD. The name "Golden Octopus" is derived from the fact there are 8 groups of childhood cancers and the octopus has 8 arms.
Please donate generously to Mitch's event - ALL Proceeds will go to the Golden Octopus Foundation.
