Help bring my Delorean Back to Life
Donation protected
I'm Rob. Ever since I first saw 20/20 where they showed the Delorean DMC-12 for the first time, I wanted one..This was even before Back to the Future...I even made CG models of the car, mostly from pictures, until I met a friend who had one I could really look at up close...That reignited my desire to have one...once you stainless...
I rescued this Delorean #4877 a couple years ago and have been working to restore it to a road capable car. I plan to use her as my daily driver (not just hide in the garage). Even sold my Mustang to help fund the project...I've made quite a bit of progress, replacing some parts and taking off ones that need replacing..
Here's a breif list of the things that the money will be used for
Complete suspension replacement
Front impact Absorber
Locks
AC
Door seals and other rubber bits
Door Handles
Carpets and other interior bits...
and a ton of lil things....plus labor cost for the things I cant really do myself
Why am I turning to the internet community? Well, simply, funds went south (the nature of being a freelance artist). Any help I can get in finally getting her on the road and driving my dream car would be most appreciated.
Added note...after the car is completed and all better, I'm planning a road trip and as a thank you to anyone who donates (and if possible) I could maybe swing around during the trip so you can see what you helped save :) Of course when its all done, I'll be making a page where I'll post all the names of contributors.
Thanks for readin'
