Getting Oscar Mobile

Donation protected
Today our 17yr old accessibility van died. Our son is 41/2 and has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and epilepsy. He loves fast cars, go karts, karate, and play dates. He is intelligent and has a very dry sense of humour. He attends a mainstream pre-school twice a week. The amazing educators and families at his school have helped to kickstart this campaign by raising an incredible $4500 toward a vehicle for him. He also attends BBMA at Mingara, they are an amazingly inclusive school of martial arts who have not only embraced Oscar as part of their martial arts family but have also made donations towards his vehicle.Oscar receives physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy at cerebral palsy Alliance. He is supported by awesome medical teams at Gosford Hospital and Sydney children’s hospital.Last year he underwent double hip surgery. He faces challenges with a smile, he is charismatic and engaging despite being non verbal, he talks with his eyes using eye gaze technology on his iPad.But today the head gasket blew on his van. This leaves our son unable to use his wheelchair as it won’t fit in our little holden. It’s like loosing his legs all over again.Oscar really needs your help to get mobile again. We have already sold everything we can.But we are still $40,000 short on a basic Kia carnival. Please if you can help donate, share, run a fundraiser, every dollar raised will help our boy continue to access his therapies, school and life.
