El Salvador Mission Trip

Donation protected
Hello all!

My name is Logan Swartz for those who may not know me. I am 24 years old and attend Youngstown State University for a master's degree in counseling. I am excited to announce I will be joining my church, Victory Christian Center, on a 7-day mission February 2nd-9th, 2019 to El Salvador! We will be joining King Castle's Ministry in El Salvador in Chotepeque Lake.

Each individual was instructed to choose from one of the following teams: Construction, Evangelism, Hair/Salon, Medical, Auto Mechanics, and Sewing.

A year ago, God blessed me with His presence. I was broken, sad, and felt little purpose. I remember waking up one morning from a dream that was so vivid. God had spoken to me that I was meant to go to church. I had always believed in God, so I felt ease when He had given me that message. I followed through with what he said and researched Christian churches in my area. I had never been to a Christian church, but wanted to explore new places for my "new chapter" in life. Victory was on the list of places and I recognized the name from ironically being taught how to drive in that parking lot. I decided that was the first place I wanted to visit. I entered my home church for the first time on November 26th, 2017. Since that day, God has made plenty transformations in my life. I was saved, met new friends, made connections, got baptized, became an adult leader in the VCC Kidz Room and went on my first mission trip to Puerto Rico.

I can be one of many to tell you that mission trips are LIFE CHANGING! Although, I want to go to El Salvador because it is a dream of mine, I want to go because I believe God wants me to go. I can truly tell you that God heals people. Seeing it first hand in Puerto Rico was the most incredible experience of my life. I am still in connection with most individuals I met there and hope to do the same with those in El Salvador. There is not much more that I love in life besides giving my love and time towards people. I think this could be very beneficial for those of El Salvador and myself to embark in this experience. I will be joining the Evangelism team which is VERY exciting for me! This will include learning traditional dances, ministering individuals, and loving on some kiddos!

I am mainly asking for prayers. Prayers that my team and I are safe during this upcoming trip and that we are able to provide for people of El Salvador. Along with prayers, I am asking for financial assistance. I will be the first to admit, I truthfully had no intentions of making a GoFundMe for this trip. I felt embarrassed to ask for money when I know life is difficult for everyone. But it was not until I spoke with a friend at church about how I have had a heavy feeling on my heart to create this page. I believe I was given the feeling to make this fund because God wants those in El Salvador to be blessed, along with teaching me that it is okay to ask for help sometimes. I have already paid a part of my trip on my own, so I did not include that amount in the goal of this fund. The goal amount reflects what will be covered for my airfare, ground transportation, accommodations, meals, etc. I am asking for this assistance because of my busy school schedule means less work. Any amount over asking will be used only towards this mission trip whether given to someone who may need assistance or for supplies.

I pray for all of those who have given this (very lengthy) story a read, who are able to help financially or in prayer, and those who may be inspired by my story to know more about Jesus. I TRULY appreciate any amount that is given. I cannot thank each and every person enough or God for giving me this platform to share the love I have with those in need.

There are a few different ways in which you can give. The following options are available:

1. On this GoFundMe page!
or
2. Following the link https://www.vcccoitsville.com/giving-one-time/ and filling out the "CVC VCM Missions" box with the amount desired and indicating "Logan Swartz mission trip" in the text box provided (says "If you have given in the "other" field, please enter the designation here:" above it).

I ask if you do option #2 that you notify me, so that I can keep you in prayers. I do not know if it sends me a notification on if someone donates through that link, but I know you do get a receipt sent to your email.

Thank you so very much to each and every one of you. I pray I am able to experience life changing moments in El Salvador and be able to tell them how YOU made an impact in helping me get there! Believe there will be some serious praying and miracles happening there people!
