Preserving our Ridge History

Our community, its diverse residents, and all that we love has been destroyed and/or displaced by the #campfire on November 8, 2018. We are stunned to say the least.

This catastrophe has not spared the Gold Nugget Museum, it's historic contents, or the grounds that supported the education of adults and children alike.  A premiere location for learning and research; children's educational Pioneer and Maidu school programs; events and activities; and home to more than 30K visitors a year.

In an effort to rebuild, we will need the support of the entire community, and those in and around our country that cherish museums; their contributions to communities everywhere. We are a proud group of volunteers and staff, giving tens of thousands of hours voluntarily every year. But we realize this calamity will take more than just wishes of good hope and dreams of rebuilding.

The money you provide will be matched against our insurance coverage to rebuild our museum, cover operational costs at the Depot museum, our temporary home, and spent to bring back what is left of our artifacts representing the history of the Paradise Ridge.

As a non profit 501(c)3, your donation is tax deductable. All donations large and small are appreciated and will be used to bring back our town museum.
