NEWBORN LEYLA HAVING HEART SURGERY

Donation protected
Our muslim brother and sister, were blessed to have a baby girl in January and 4 year old Arif was blessed to inshallah have a baby sister.

About the same time, when Allah blessed Eric with the job offer after having struggled to get by in the bay area, Eric’s and Tarrah’s unborn baby was diagnosed with a Tricuspid Atresia, which means that only half of her heart is working. The defect –appeared on a routine ultrasound when Tarrah was in her early weeks pregnant.

“The news of the baby’s heart disease has been very hard”, Tarrah says. “We’ve been so blessed with her diagnosis. Inshallah, the doctors are right and they wouldn’t need to do a bypass for her first surgery.” Her first surgery has to be done within first few days which will take at least 6 weeks to heal. The second will be done within 4-6 months, and then at 2-4 years.

“They have warned us that children with this condition do often need heart transplant

Not too long ago, the diagnosis was a death sentence for infants, but thanks to a team of physicians at Stanford Children's Health in California who have developed a technique to bypass the arteries inside the lungs, now the surgeries can be made that may give life to infants.

“Mashallah, this is another blessing! We are here in the bay near Stanford childrens hospital. From what we’ve beem told, this hospital is one of few  in the country that do these types of surgeries.- Tarrah says

Right now the baby girl is being monitored by obgyn, a neonatologist, and a Stanford fetal cardiologist.

“Inshallah we will just keep getting blesses- and Allah will give her miracle after miracle. That’s what we’re praying for. I will take any blessings from Allah”- Tarrah says.

Allah knows the best, that’s what we believe and truly live upon with. Inshallah as a community and brothers and sisters we want to financially help them to sustain during the upcoming difficult period in their life.

Inshallah Allah gives them moral support and ease the baby girl heart conditions.
