My Mom’s Cancer Fundraiser

Donation protected
Let’s talk about my mom, 2018 and the struggle that she has gone through! last March my mom had to have her second back surgery where they fused her back, an mri was performed and a large mass was discovered on her kidney. After a biopsy performed she was diagnosed with an incredibly rare form of cancer. The 65th person to be diagnosed and the youngest case known so far. Chromaphobe renal cell carcinoma! Seeing it was so rare the cancer team in Aberdeen have never had clinical studies of it so she had to fly back and forth to Zion, Illinois (cancer treatment centers of America) for treatment where they removed her right kidney. Unfortunately the flying and surgery caused blood clots in her lungs. They stopped counting at 25!! She spent numerous nights in the hospital after her left lung partially collapsed from a blood clot getting lodged in a major artery and cutting off airflow and blood flow to her brain. This caused her chiari malformation to act up which has caused major migraines, loss of eye sight, small motor skills, loss of words and dizzy spells to name a few. They have also since found a mass on her left ovary that they can’t remove until she is off her blood thinners because she can’t start hormones while on blood thinners. Hopefully she will be able to have surgery for her chiari ( removing a 2inch chunk of skull at the back her head) and have her ovaries removed in February. So we can test and see what stage it is at and see what steps come next! But the biggest blow to all of this is that my mother lost her job. She loved her job and worked for a company she believed in and a team and customers she called family! And now she was just informed that her long term disability will no longer be available to her. She gives her all to everyone and her kids are her life. If you know my mother you know if you needed her she would be there in a second and give you anything you needed even if it was just her time. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Even if you can’t donate I would appreciate your prayers. She’s my best friend and I’ll do anything I can to make her life a little easier as she’s worked so hard to do the same for me!!! (P.s. she didn’t want this, she felt as if others are in way worse shape then her but Rhawni and I feel differently, it’s time for others to start taking care of her)
Love you mom!!
