DANIETTÉ

Ever since I was 11 years old, I found myself sketching clothes I couldn't find in the local stores of my hometown Savannah, GA. Discovering that I could bring my designs to life, I fell in love with the idea of seeing my designs go from a 2D sketch to a 3D piece of art! Now 16 years later, I literally have started my own fashion business, and have been fortunate enough to be invited to showcase as a designer in New York Fashion Week. My dreams are literally coming true. I've been through a lot, and pushed through much negativity. If the devil had his way, I never would have made it this far. Growing up in Savannah, I was told I would never make it in the fashion industry, let alone be accepted at one of the top design schools in the country, Savannah College of Art and Design. I was told I wouldn't have enough money as a minority, not enough creativity, and would never make it, but HERE I AM, AND HERE IS THE MOMENT I’VE WAITED FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE...MY BIG BREAK! My “Hit the Runway” Fundraiser Fashion Show is the fundraiser event being held to not only raise the funds for me to show in New York Fashion Week, but it's a chance for others in Savannah to see what I'm showing. THIS is for the girl down the street that aspires to be a model! THIS is for the makeup artist yearning for her big break! THIS is for the up and coming hair stylist who is ready to show the world that she has what it takes! This is for YOU and ME! We are all called to be something great! Everyone can live their dreams through my dream this night. I believe that dreams do still come true, and I'm asking that you join us or donate to this dream! We only need $5000 to make it!
