Face Forward Supports Displaced Children of War

Face Forward International has partnered with Resurgens Global to extend our services to reach 1,600 orphaned, refugee children of Syria in Jordan. Together, our goal is to educate, empower, and uplift children displaced by conflict. Since the Syrian civil war began in 2011, an estimated 500,000 people have been killed, including more than 55,000 children.
Not only will we Face Forward be providing several of these innocent victims of war with much needed surgical care, but together we will continue to aid in their ongoing educational support when they return home.
When our team met with the founder of Resurgens Global, he shared a story with us about a young Syrian boy he met while in Jordan at the orphanage who wouldn't speak. What would cause this child, a young boy with his entire life ahead of him to go silent he wondered? Later he learned the boys tragic tale... Daily the little boy would sit in the window of his home in Syria, as his parents walked across the street to the market for groceries. They would wave to each other, and he would sit patiently in the window watching and waiting for their return with food for the day. Then one day, as his parents walked to the market, they were struck by an explosive. Killing them in the street, as the helpless child watched from the window above.
A tragedy that no one should witness...but especially not a child.
