Connecting Travelers through Purposeful Travel

At Purposeful Nomad, we connect compassionate, adventurous women with incredible communities and experiences around the world. We've dedicated our lives to developing genuine global relationships, discovering off-the-beaten-path destinations, and finding ways to have meaningful exchanges with the communities we visit. We're crafting deeper, safer, more ethically responsible travel for women.

We want to continue to empower women to explore the world with trips dedicated to their travel needs. At the same time, we have future plans to  extend our business to all travelers, encouraging them to see the world and to do so responsibly.  So, we have laid out a multi-year growth plan, and we need the help of people like you who share our mission to make this a reality.

Your donation, regardless of the size, will help us make an impact, and ensure that we’re connecting travelers with meaningful and sustainable experiences.


GROUP TOURS WITH A PURPOSE

Our company was founded upon the principle that travel can create a positive impact globally if done with care and compassion, by investing and learning in the communities we visit. We curate each unique Purposeful Nomad trip so that they:

1.    Align with local organizations and individuals that invest in their communities
2.   Favor locations that aren’t normally visited
3.   Ensure tourism dollars reach the local economies
4.   Engage and work directly with the communities we visit   

We have a busy year ahead! To achieve our mission, in 2019 we will run impact trips in India, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Cuba and Guatemala. We have also created an Ambassador Program, working with travel influencers and media to raise awareness of our mission and destinations.


EXPANDING OUR REACH AND IMPACT 

A global revolution in tourism is occurring, as more and more people seek to make a positive impact on the world through travel. We want to be at the forefront of this change. In order to do this, we have to expand our business, evolve our model, and reach new partners and audiences.

Our plans for 2020 has those objectives in mind with:

>   New destinations including but limited too: Iceland, Morocco, and Tanzania
>   Addition of new talent and skills to the Purposeful Nomad team
>   Expansion of our marketing strategies
>   Partnerships with new organizations and nonprofits

We’re confident that these goals will help us continue our mission to make an impact through travel, and to bring quality programs built with integrity and transparency.


WE NEED YOUR HELP TO GET THERE 

Our plans are ambitious… and they need to be in order to have an impact. But we think we can get there with your help. A new business model needs a new approach, which in turn brings expenses beyond our current budget:  

>   Resourcing for sales team and activities
>   Marketing costs for promotional materials, social media, SEO, and paid media
>   Editorial and content production costs
>   Hiring of 2-3 experienced Purposeful Nomad guides
>   Outreach through conferences and sponsorships

Our target fundraising goal is $45,000.

We want to give you a taste of the communities we visit… and reward you for your kind donation. As a “Thank You” for your contribution, we’re offering the following gifts:

>   For donations of $100 or more, receive a free copy of Unearth Women 
>   For donations of $500 or more, receive a gift basket featuring items made in India by the Sambhali Trust women 
>   For donations of $1500 or more, receive 20% off any 2019/2020 departure (these are women-only departures so if you don’t fall under that you may pass this on to a special female in your life)
