Meet Daisy, the most loving dog you will ever meet.  She is the life of our home, always ready to play or just lay around with us while we watch a movie.  Super smart, protective of her family and extremely well trained.  We have had the honor to call Daisy family since March 17th 2015.  As a teenie tiny puppy she spent her first week with us cuddled up with her new mommy on the couch while I had the flu.  She was and is a perfect fit for this family.

Daisy has been through a lot in the past 9 months. In July 2018 we noticed that her stool was black and tarry.   After a quick Google search we called our local vet and got her in right away.  She had lost a lot of blood and needed to be admitted for constant intravenous medication and wound up needed a blood transfusion.   Longest week of our lives not knowing if she would start to produce platelets on her own and come home to us!  Thankfully she recovered and was sent home with 4 medications to take daily.  She is now down to 2 medications per day and seems to be doing well and we couldn't be happier.

Unfortunately, we are facing a new challenge for our baby girl.  She injured her leg while playing with my son on Friday.  What we think happened is her nail got caught in the carpet causing her to land wrong after jumping.  She has not bared weight on it since it happened but it seemed more like a sprain until last night when it doubled in size.  It is now very swollen and seems to be bothering her more.   The swelling is also a cause for concern because of her condition called IMHA.  This was her diagnosis for her blood clotting disorder that caused her condition in July 2018.  If there is any internal bleeding she might not be able to heal herself and we could possibly lose her.

We still have a balance due on the extremely large bill we had with the vet for her stay and treatment so they will not enter into a new payment agreement with us and there are no other veterinarians that will accept payments.  We would never ask anyone for anything like this if we had any other choice!  It is so extremely heartbreaking to not be able to help our furbaby!  She is not our dog she is a family member.  We just want her to be ok.

Anything you can do to help would be much appreciated.  There are no words for how thankful we would all be if her pain could be taken away. We know she will still have a healing process and are fully prepared to deal with that. We need our amazing Daisy back and she definitely deserves the best of everything!
