Sgt. Darrow Harden's Recovery

Sgt. Harden with the City of Atlanta Fire/Rescue Departmemnt was struck by an out of control vehicle while working an accident on I-85 North in Atlanta, GA. Sgt. Harden suffered severe injuries to his lower extremities which resulted in the amputation of one leg and severe injuries to the other. Sgt. Harden is a seven year veteran with the City of Atlanta Fire/Rescue Department. He is married with three wonderful children.
Sgt. Harden has a long road ahead of him and will require a tremendous amount of assistance and support during his recovery process including any adjustments needing to be done at his home as well as doctor visits and family assistance.
He is looking at a long term recovery, which will require our support. His fire family are very grateful for any assistance you can provide.
Update: We are so overwhelmed by the initial response. We also recognize that Sgt. Hardens recovery will be long and extensive and our initial goal was just a start.
