Imagine..............You are living out of less than $800 a month of income. Due to unfortunate circumstances, you or you and your family need to live somewhere safe and clean, buy food, cover your transportation, copays and you ARE NOT on drugs nor alcohol. If you can work, you haven't been hired or you aren't getting enough hours. You can't afford 1st, Last and Security Deposit for a studio/efficiency, let alone 1st and Security for an apartment or home. Your family doesn't have room for you nor A ROOM for you to occupy or rent. The Homeless Agencies are full or for some reason you DON'T qualify for their temporary facilities. Where do you go? The Haven assists agencies, families, and friends with housing for those YOU don't have a ROOM for. We not only help in providing a ROOM or two for individuals and their families but we do sooooo much more to ensure their ENTIRE well being is looked into and cared for. This includes food, healthcare, clothing, and other necessities you will be surprised to hear about. How do we do this? By building relationship over the years with community partners who have these resources. OFTEN we transport individuals or deliver goods and services
Why the $5 Fundraising Campaign? The Haven offsets the cost for some of these needs so the individuals don't have to go without or PANHANDLE in the middle of the month in order to eat or pay for essentials. In order to help in preventing this kind of result or other unnecessary risks, the Haven is using GOFUNDME and other inexpensive means to PANHANDLE for them and us on Social Media.
We are asking for those who CARE to give a $5 or more (of course), share this cause and our story with your network of friends, coworkers, and others and be a partner with us :) You won't regret it.
