Whytes' Wedding Wish / Ride For a Reason

Todd and Julie Whyte are residents of Prairie du Chien, WI. But you'd never know it. They are often supporting numerous events and causes in the La Crosse area, including Beer By Bike Brigade, Pearl Street Brewery, Local Businesses, etc. They also love visiting their two grown children, Seth and Mollee, who live in the area.
When it comes to Mollee, Todd couldn't be more proud. And when she got engaged, he was so happy for her. But it was bittersweet at the same time. Soon his little girl would have a family of her own. They wanted to do something special that the two of them could do together. So they planned a Father/Daughter week long, 500 mile bicycle trip for just the two of them.
Almost seven years ago, Todd started riding for fun and fitness. And through the course of the summer, lost weight and gained many friends in the La Crosse area. He's continued to ride each season, using his bike and his sense of adventure to join Julie, his wife and his kids as they join in on many of the bike orientated events in town.
June 8-15th, Todd and Mollie plan on riding the GRABAAWR- The GReat Annual Bicycling Adventure Along the Wisconsin River. And in true Whyte fashion, they want to support the community as well as adventure.
They are looking to cover the costs of their ride and match that in a donation to the GRiT - Girls Riding Together, which is sponsored by ORA. This organization will encourage girls ages 6th-12th grade to learn to ride bikes and possibly learn to mountain bike as well. Because they are a new entity, they will need bikes, helmets and other gear. This Dad and Daughter pair really love the idea of riding for a reason - to encourage girls in the area to get into biking. And maybe, just maybe, they'll get their dads to join in the fun.
