Jeannie's Cancer Journey

Spende geschützt
My beautiful bride Jeannie has been battling Endometrial Cancer for nearly 3 years. She's undergone radiation at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas, and, here in Florida. Jeannie has also endured four major surgeries to remove tumors as well as a total hysterectomy, and been subject to a regiment of long-term chemo and 30 additional radiation treatments. There have also been several emergency trips to Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies in Orlando.

Through all of this Jeannie has had the will and determination to continue working.  Her company directors, supervisors, fellow employees, friends and family have all supported her fight with unbridled compassion, love and faith! My amazing wife and I have been so very blessed along this journey to have met some of the most compassionate folks in the world who have helped us get to this point.

Jeannie has been able to maintain a positive level of strength and resiliency because of her love for God, and her endearing support group that just keeps giving. For over 40 years Jeannie has dedicated her life to volunteerism, through decades of work in our church, serving as AAA’s lead coordinator for the local Meals on Wheels program, being a monthly United Way contributor, Saint Jude’s hospital contributor, Boy Scouts of America Committee chair leader for 4 years and many other worthy programs. She now finds herself in need of help from others.

The good Lord has answered our prayers by opening a door which will allow her to enter a Clinical Trial at MD Anderson, located in Houston TX. It is a volunteer trial which may help others in the future with Endometrial cancer live longer more productive lives.  Unfortunately, this trial may be her only hope. Her liver is currently at Stage 4 status. Her cancer is extremely aggressive and has moved into many areas of her body, forming multiple lesions and tumors in her abdomen and organs. We are praying that the trial drugs will give her back a somewhat normal life, free of pain. This will require many trips between FL and TX. Her ongoing and future treatments have caused and will continue to cause a severe financial burden with no end in sight. The bills keep coming while future expenses keep mounting.

I honestly feel embarrassed and ashamed for having to ask good folks like you for financial help, but a wise friend explained something to me which really hit home. “Folks want to help... swallow your pride and let people help you and Jeannie through this nightmare” Many wonderful folks that my wife & I know have been asking what can they do, and my response has always been, we just need prayers. At this point unfortunately, we need a little more.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any help you can provide, all of the wonderful gestures of love, compassion and strength sent our way. Please share this with as many friends as you can and God Bless you for your help and understanding.

We are sincerely grateful for your help.
