Her Story:
About five years ago, my mother was diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancer.
I had never imagined how difficult it would be to see her go through such a traumatic experience, but I had also never imagined her persisting as much as she did. She didn't call off of work and she didn't take disability. She worked hard throughout her entire treatment process.
With endless rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgeries, my mom was finally deemed "cancer free"... until October 2020.
Though her hair has grown back and she is smiling again, we received a call that her ovarian cancer had come back. She was to have surgery in December to remove the cancerous cells from behind her colon.
While she is going through chemotherapy again, her bills have started to add up again. We have to pay 10% of every medical visit, chemo session, nurse visitation, and more. As I'm sure you can imagine, these bills add up quickly.
Anyone who has met my mother knows that she is the most gentle, fun-loving person they've ever met. She loves live music, dancing, and spending time with those closest to her. She never fails to light up any room she enters. She has endured more than anyone I've ever known, and I am so lucky to be able to call her my mom.
Goal:
We are looking for help to pay off the remaining medical bills that my mom has in hopes to get this portion of her life over with and put in the past where it belongs.
All of the treatments and past medical bills have been mentally and financially draining, so if you have the means to donate, we would greatly appreciate your kindness.
