NAAPU TECHNICAL TRAINING

NAAPU TECHNICAL TRAINING:

Naapu means "helping to grow up, to evolve" in Samburu. This is our goal for Wamba's youth, aged 13-19, who are not able to attend secondary school or to find a job. 

Our centre would provide students with short courses with active on-site workshops in:
CARPENTRY
MECHANICS 
MASONRY
METAL WORK - including roofing and gutter mounting
TAILORING - with a workshop on solar cooking via S.H.E.P.

This project applies to the most disadvantaged youths of Wamba.

For local teenagers aged 14 to 19 [Standard 8 leavers] to learn a skill for employment to gain income for themselves and their families.

Many teenagers, find themselves in difficult situations without being able to afford secondary education and looking for a job without any skill.

Empowered young people with a useful know-how. 
Self supporting youth of the village would set up their own shop and generate small income by filling orders of local clients.
