Altar Improvement for St. Andrew's Planer Purchase

It's time to make some improvements in the altar at St. Andrew's!

We had originally planned on purchasing a marble top for the Holy Table and the proskomedia table, but they are prohibitively expensive for the dimensions we need.

We have recently acquired several very nice pieces of seasoned local live oak, but these will need to be milled into lumber - this fundraiser is to purchase a DeWalt 12" 15-Amp 3-Blade Benchtop Planer for this purpose, something that can't be done with the woodworking tools we already have.

Not only will we be able to make the tops for both tables, but further projects in the parish improvements will be made possible with this tool including an additional table and benches for the trapeza, as well as a new serving surface for the trapeza itself. 

After the planer is used for these improvements it will continue to be used to better serve the parish and our community, assisting us in improving our wheelchair access, building a new analogion, as well as the much-needed alms box.
