The #GatorGood2019 campaign is supported by the great members of the Gator Nation. We exist to share the experience of The Swamp with special and deserving Gator fans who, for many different reasons, have not had the opportunity to stand with a deafening crowd of 90,000 other fans in support of Gator football.
Last year, we had the privilege to share the Gator Game day experience with Kentavien "Scoot" Walker and his family. Thanks to the dedicated support of the Gator fans and University staff, Scoot and his family got an exclusive tour of the stadium, were part of the pre-game color guard ceremony, and got to meet some of the Gator players after the game! We want to thank every member of the Gator Nation who made last seasons’ fundraiser--our first ever--a massive success! But we are back to ask for your help again to send another awesome Gator fan to the Swamp!
We are proud to announce that our deserving fan that will be going to The Swamp for the 2019 football season is Austin, a 17-year old fan from Nashville, Tennessee.
Austin, a high school sophomore, has experienced severe health problems since birth. He and his family have made it through countless health challenges since his birth, including stomach and kidney complications, strokes, seizures, learning and speech disabilities, and ADHD. Despite his many challenges and the surgeries needed to address them, he has developed a lifelong love of Gator football. As his aunt told us, football is the one thing that calms him down.
Our team at the #GatorGood2019 hopes to send Austin and his family to Gainesville for the Vanderbilt game, and we need your support! We are working to raise funds to provide for airfare, hotel, transportation, game tickets, and hopefully some extra spending money for food and Gator gear. If you can, please consider making a donation to the GoFundMe page. After last year’s successful fundraiser (almost $2,000!), we are starting over with about $400, so we have a long way to go!
