Hello! First of all we want to thank you for clicking on this page, it means a lot to us.
We are Beck and Han, two 25 year old friends who also happen to be non-binary trans-masc individuals. Not everyone feels comfortable being so public or even asking for help in the first place, asking others for help is an incredibly vulnerable thing to do. We have decided to create this gofundme to not only aid our own transitions, but to also hopefully make a dent in the cost of transition for some of our other friends too.
As you are all probably aware the NHS gender services are under a lot of strain, with a current 24 month waiting list for an initial consultation, and surgery waiting times anywhere between 2-5 years. Han is already over a year on the waiting list and won't receive an initial consultation for at least another year. We simply cannot wait that long.
We have both already made steps towards private treatment to receive hormone therapy, overall costing us around £1000 each including travel to London and Brighton.
Han's next step in their transition is to get top surgery, which will cost around £8000 overall, not including travel and money missed out on while missing time at work. This would change their life in such a huge way. The freedom and happiness that top surgery would bring is completely indescribable. As is the case for so many trans and non-binary individuals.
Beck's next step is to start hormone therapy, needing multiple appointments through GenderCare in London, costing around £300 each. Starting hormones will help Beck to feel comfortable in their skin and finally be able to be themselves.
We and our friends would be so eternally grateful for anything anyone is able to donate, literally any amount of money we raise would be so vital and important in changing our lives for the better, forever.
We are also creating artwork and doing commissions to raise money for our transitions, follow our instagrams below to keep an eye out if you wish to buy any of our art to help us out:
