Driving Mr. Joel

Joel was born at 28 weeks. He was by all apearances "normal".  His birth mother severly abused him. He spent many months alone in the hospital recovering from his injuries. We were fortunate enough to welcome him into our family around his first birthday. Joel was not expected to live very long. He will be 33 in a few weeks. This in itself is a major triumph. He has always been a fighter no matter what life has thrown his way (and there has been alot) , and all with a smile on his face. Joels health is starting to decline as is my Moms , whom he still lives with. She is 73. She has dedicated her life to making sure Joel is well cared for. Mom has expressed a desire to take Joel to Disney and to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios before it would be too hard for them to make the journey. Flying would be out of the question as they both have too many special accomodations. Joel LOVES to drive in the car, so the journey for him will be just as special as the destination.  We would love to make this happen for them next fall. It would mean so much to see the smile on both Mom and Joels faces when they step into the Magic that is Disney and Harry Potter where the books they read would finally come to life.  We would be very grateful for any help to make a dream come true for Joel.  Thank you and God Bless.
