Pirate Treasure Closet-Needs Closet

The Pirate Treasure Closet is a “comfort closet", set up to help low-income students or anyone in need at our school, have the ability to get the self-care items they may need. The purpose is to make every student feel as comfortable as possible, no matter what is going on at home. We also all know that a student's basic needs must be met in order for them to be successful in the classroom. This is meant to help fill that gap. 

The closet has "Need Boxes" which are full of all types of personal hygiene items that can be handed out all at once as well as individual items such as shampoos, conditioners, deodorants, wipes, Qtips, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and soap. 

If you or your club/organization would like to help keep this closet stocked, that would be amazing! It will only be successful if we continue to get donations.

Several people would love to help, but are out of town or not from East Texas, so this is where we will accept monetary donations to help fund the closet so we can buy items as needed. 

My goal would be to fully stock the high school closet and then make and fill other Pirate Treasure closets at every campus in the district!
