Open the door of opportunity - FREDI´s O levels

"One day Baba (Daddy) threatened to kill Mama and said he doesn't care if she leaves him. This pains Mama so much but she cannot leave while Fredi still needs her support after school every day."
This has always been the heart of the campaign and now, we are so close to major success.
Our protegee, Fredi, fast approaches the first of two major formal milestones in this, our campaign.
Form Four of Fredi´s journey at the Northern Highlands School will culminate in his sitting his O Levels, the passing of which will push the door of opportunity ajar. It may only be a small opening but the views beyond the door represent one thing – A Future. From a successful Form Four in 2020 Fredi will start to have choices, options and "A Future". A levels will almost undoubtedly be the continuation of this journey. All thanks to the generosity of people across the world who, by and large, have never had the pleasure of meeting Fredi.
It is time to start planning and raising funds for this significant milestone, we cannot stop what we have started. Fredi has done us all proud and we must push him forward and open that door of opportunity for him.
I am opening the fundraiser early to coincide with my visit to Moshi in Oct/Nov of this year 2019. Once there, my updates on this campaign will come directly from Fredi, his amazing family and his teachers and other key players in his future.
Each year Fredi has received your blind support and I have never quite understood how you could be so generous and caring of a stranger to you. I have tried to bring Fredi and his family alive for you via my words and images but now you are owed an encounter with the young man you have helped to blossom. From the shy, undernourished and small for his years' boy that we sent to boarding school back in 2017.

Fredi´s story
As ever the funds we raise will go to pay for Fredi´s fourth year at Northern Highlands, this year there is additional costs added to that school bill. We must pay for him to sit his mock exam, a pre-national exam and finally the National O Level Exam itself! Because it never ceases to amaze me. I will remind you that as part of Fredi´s fees each year we have also supplied the school with four reams of paper! Tanzania is a world away from the school systems we are all accustomed to and yet you continue to support me in supporting Fredi and for that, I cannot thank you enough. Funds need to be available for the first week in January 2020. As ever school fees receipts will be available for anyone who wishes to see them.
