Like most people in the country today, we live paycheck to paycheck.
We have spent the last 5 years slowly crawling ourselves out of debt and we have finally gotten to a point where I was able to quit my second job and we were prepped to have a fairly decent Christmas.
Then, a couple of months back, the week after I pay off the loan on my car, I was rear-ended while stopped at a stop sign. The damage was enough that it couldn't be repaired and the vehicle was totaled out.
We were not prepared at that point to take out another car loan and the insurance money was just enough to purchase used, 2008, Honda Pilot. That's it there in the picture getting ready to be towed yesterday.
My alternator went out. Now, this is something we can pay for, the bill has come out to $557.27. Unfortunately, especially when you combine it with the $162 and change I paid for a new battery as well, this has wiped out most of our Christmas fund.
All I'm asking for is a little help so that I can get this car running again and still have a decent Christmas.
My goal is to have this goal funded as soon as possible and I can't even begin to express my gratitude to those willing to help out, and my complete understanding to those who are unable to.
