"If You Build it They Will Come "
A handful of Veterans within the American Legion organization have spearheaded operations to re-ignite American Legion Baseball in San Diego County. We've taken the mindset of "If you build it, they will come". As such, we launched our initiatives in late 2017 and early 2018, dug our trenches deep and began the building phase. We're honored to say that WE DID RESTORE Legion Baseball to its once prominent status. Our 2018 inaugural season provided a tremendous foundation to our future growth developing this highly competitive Legion Baseball League in San Diego County.
To compete with the local travel ball teams, our American Legion District has decided to make this league accessible to our County players without concern of the financial burden placed on them or their families. There is "No Pay to Play"!
Please know that the financial burden does exist and we can't afford to fund this ourselves. Based on the success of our 2018 season we know that 2019 will have increased expenses. In planning forward, we can safely project that each team will cost us $3000. We currently have 20 teams committed to our 2019 season.
It is important to note that our request for your donation is not for Veterans, it's to strengthen our communities & to allow San Diego County's youth a platform to "Play Ball".
